In Quebec, older, larger snow geese are called “old rusty heads”—their distinctive reddish plumage comes from the iron found in the mud of the St. Lawrence River’s tidal flats.
The result of many years of goose hunting, the Rusty Old was designed to faithfully replicate the call of Quebec’s greater snow goose, capable of luring even the most wary geese—as well as young ones—within range.
Made of high-quality grenadillo wood with a stainless steel ring, this bird call is as sturdy as it is effective. Available in 4 types of exotic wood. Measures 4⅝ inches in length.
