    Electronic call

    RD-TRONICS — Electronic Moose Call, Mossy Oak Camo

    The RD-TRONICS is an electronic calling system built specifically for moose hunting. It plays field recordings rather than synthesised sounds, at a volume no blown call reaches. This is the tool for long range and open country, early season and through the rut.

    Range and volume. This is the whole point of the unit. On a cutover, a burn or a wide bog, it carries where a wood horn runs out of breath.
    Recorded sounds, not synthesised. The bank comes from the Recall Designs library developed with Michel Breton. Sounds load and are selected right on the unit.
    Mossy Oak camo finish. The housing is wrapped to stay hidden set on the ground or hung in a tree.
    Repeatable sequences. The same sequence, played exactly the same way, thirty minutes apart. Hard to do by mouth, easy for the unit.
    Check your regulations before you buy

    Electronic calls for big game are prohibited in Alberta, British Columbia, Yukon and the Northwest Territories. If you hunt in one of those jurisdictions, go to our wood and synthetic calls below — none of these restrictions apply to them. Regulations change from year to year and zone to zone; the version currently published by your provincial or territorial authority governs.

    Manual calls

    Wood and Synthetic Calls — Moose Break and Palette

    Manual calls do something electronics cannot: they modulate. You adjust volume, length and inflection in real time based on what the animal gives you. And they are legal everywhere in Canada, with no provincial exceptions.

    Moose Break Green and Beige — $39.99. The synthetic horn of the range. Two finishes, same body. This is the cow-in-heat and long-call tool, and the one most hunters buy first.
    L'il Moose Break — $34.99. The compact version. Same family of sounds, in a size that fits the pack instead of your shoulder.
    Moose scapula (Palette) — $22.99. For raking, not for voice. It mimics antlers rubbing brush and saplings — the sound that moves a silent bull when no vocal call will.

    A hunter who calls seriously carries both: a horn for voice, a scapula for raking. The full sequence alternates between them instead of repeating the same sound.

    Sound library

    Moose Sound Group — 14 Sounds, with Michel Breton

    An electronic call is only as good as its sound bank. The moose sound group brings together 14 recordings developed with Michel Breton for the RD-TRONICS: cow, bull, calf, and the sequences that string them together.

    Field recordings. Not synthesised tones, not generic samples bought from a stock library.
    Sequences, not just isolated sounds. What moves an animal is the order and timing between calls, not the quality of any single one.
    The library also covers deer, turkey and ambient sounds. The moose group is the starting point.

    Full Contest Rules

    2. Contest period. The contest opens August 22, 2026 at 12:01 a.m. and closes September 22, 2026 at 11:59 p.m., Eastern Time. Entries received outside that window are rejected.
    3. Eligibility. Open to residents of Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, New Brunswick and Saskatchewan who have reached the age of majority in their province. The prize includes an electronic call, the use of which for big game is prohibited in Alberta, British Columbia, Yukon and the Northwest Territories: residents of those jurisdictions are not eligible. Employees of the sponsor and members of their household are excluded.
    4. No purchase necessary. No purchase is required to enter and a purchase does not improve your chances of winning.
    5. How to enter. Complete the form on this page: full name, phone number, and acceptance of these rules. One entry per person. Incomplete, illegible or duplicate entries are rejected.
    6. Prize. One (1) prize will be awarded, consisting of an RD-TRONICS Mossy Oak camo electronic call ($239.99), a Moose Break call ($39.99), a moose scapula ($22.99) and the 14-sound Michel Breton moose sound group ($60.00). Total approximate retail value: $362.97 CAD. The prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
    7. Odds of winning. Odds depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
    8. Draw. The winner will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries on September 23, 2026, at the sponsor's offices.
    9. Skill-testing question. Before being declared the winner, the selected entrant must correctly answer, unaided, a mathematical question asked by telephone.
    10. Claiming the prize. The selected entrant will be contacted at the number provided within five (5) business days of the draw. If they cannot be reached within the following five (5) business days, the entry is void and a new draw is held.
    11. Personal information. Information collected is used solely to administer the contest and contact the winner. It is not sold or shared with third parties. Consent to commercial communications is separate and optional. Privacy policy.
    12. Platform independence. This contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Meta, Facebook or Instagram.
    13. General. The sponsor reserves the right to cancel or amend the contest if circumstances beyond its control require it. All sponsor decisions are final. The contest is subject to applicable Canadian and Quebec law.
